Spider-Man No Way Home: Andrew Garfield responds to ‘leaked photos of him on No Way Home set’

SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME has been rumoured to include appearances from previous Spider-Man actors, including Andrew Garfield, and now the star has addressed some “leaked” photos of him on set of the new Marvel movie.

For months people have claimed to have known that previous web-slingers, Maguire and Garfield, would be coming back to team up with current Spider-Man, Tom Holland – but Marvel has yet to confirm anything of the sort.

Although previous Spider-Man villain Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) appeared in the recent internet-breaking trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, both former Spider-Man actors were conspicuously missing.

Speaking about the aforementioned images on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Garfield revealed he had “no idea” about the photo – before changing his tune. Garfield then explained: “I heard about [the photo]. And I did see it… and it’s a Photoshop.”

Garfield collaborated with director Marc Webb for The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) as the legendary superhero. While wrapping up production on his sequel film, writer and director Drew Goddard was reportedly brought onto the scene with Sony to plan a never-made Sinister Six movie.

The former Spider-Man actor went on to say that it “would’ve been cool” to be involved in that film, which, at the  time, never came to be. Per the interview, Garfield still sounds hopeful that a Sinister Six movie could be made in the future.

“It would have been cool. Maybe one day he’ll get to do it, but it would’ve been cool.”

Later this year Tom Holland returns to the big screen as Spider-Man in his third solo movie, No Way Home. The movie’s first trailer revealed the Marvel hero will be embarking on a multiversal adventure against a number of previous Spidey foes – including Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin.
