News of Spears’ memoir comes after his sister Jamie Lynn Spears released a book titled Things I Should Have Said . The singer then criticized her sister for relying on her life to make money.

On February 17, the Criminal voice said she was invited to the White House to speak about her journey to ending guardianship. “I am grateful that my story has been noticed. I find myself being heard. For the first time in my life, I feel that my life has meaning,” she wrote on her personal page.

In a letter to Britney Spears, the US Congress congratulated the singer and called it a “historic feat”. “Your journey towards justice will inspire and empower many others who are unjustly warded,” the letter read.

Britney Spears has lived under guardianship since 2008. After several lawsuits with her biological father, the Los Angeles Superior Court declared Britney officially free after 13. “I believe ending guardianship is in the best interest of Britney Spears,” Judge Brenda Penny said in November 2021.

Before that, the Toxic singer voiced out that family members including father Jamie Spears, mother Lynne Spears and younger sister Jamie Lynn controlled her life for 13 years. The singer wants to sue her family members for making her feel like a slave.
