Jennifer Lopez ‘s former manager revealed the reason why the singer and actor Ben Affleck broke up in 2004 even though they were still in love at that time.

Rob Shuter – J.Lo’s manager from 2003 to 2005 – wrote the statement of separation on behalf of the singer and Ben Affleck in January 2004. Rob thinks that in the past, the star couple broke up because of Ben’s alcoholism.
“Ben was the one who left. When they broke up, the demon (addiction) in him was still a secret,” Rob told Mail on October 15. “After that, he was very honest about his struggles and facing them. They had a beautiful love but at the wrong time. And now is the right time.”
Rob Shuter is very supportive of J.Lo and Ben getting back together. The 48-year-old manager believes the star couple will get engaged again and predicts a wedding in the near future.

The two stars – once known as Bennifer – got engaged in 2002 but then broke off their engagement just days before the wedding. After breaking up, they meet new people and get married. J.Lo married singer Marc Anthony at the end of 2004 and had twins but divorced in 2011. Ben married actress Jennifer Garner in 2005, had three children and divorced in 2015. J.Lo and Ben had several other loves before reuniting in May of this year.
Referring to Jennifer Lopez , Rob Shuter said that even though he no longer worked together for many years, he still cares and loves the female singer and admires her personality. Rob – also a manager of many other stars such as Jessica Simpson, rocker Bon Jovi, rapper Diddy … – shared: “I know there are many horrible stories about artists but in my book, I dedicate a whole chapter about kindness and Jennifer Lopez.”
