Lily-Rose Depp dropped out of the exclusive preparatory school in Los Angeles (USA) in 2016 to embark on showbiz. In an interview, the young actress admitted that it was not possible to pursue an acting career and still attend classes and do homework at the same time.
Responding to her parents complaining about her daughter dropping out of school to pursue her passion, she said: “My parents both left school when they were 15, so they can’t really say anything. I never thought of college as my goal. I’ve always just wanted to work and be independent. I don’t have any motivation to continue studying while working. I read a lot of books and do my own research on things that interest me,” Lily-Rose told Vogue.

Causing a stir about gender
Back in 2015, Lily-Rose Depp caused a stir when she announced that she was sexist and part of the LGBTQ community.
She explained after the above statement: “I did it just to say that you don’t have to gender yourself. However, my statement caused people to misunderstand me as gay. Of course there’s nothing wrong with that! Gender doesn’t matter, it’s personal and I’ll date whoever I want.”

According to People , iO Tillett Wright’s LGBTQ campaign honors 10,000 Americans who confidently identify as their true gender, and Lily-Rose is the 9,958th person to join the project. The campaign also features fellow models Cara Delevingne and Amber Heard.
Johnny Depp has nothing but praise for his daughter. The proud father told British media: ‘She has thousands of followers on social media and everyone is completely surprised except me. I knew because my daughter told me everything. She is not afraid to say anything to me. Our relationship is strong and I’m proud of that.”
